Own Your Story

What does this even mean? Well, owning your story is not about accepting things in a resignedly way. It is about, firstly, knowing what your story is. Knowing as much as you can about yourself, the facts and the emotions that you felt following those facts, and then processing them in a healthy way (not being told how you should or should not feel or act). This allows you to make informed decisions on what you want to keep, drop, pursue, stall, etc at your chosen time and with the resources (physical, emotional, financial, spiritual, etc.) you have and choose to use.

Some life stories are too heavy to relive and even heavier to tell, BUT unlocking these is key to a future. Be gracious to yourself and only proceed when you want to.

Every person has a story. Everyone has a life journey that is unique no matter how similar we think it is to someone else’s.

Welcome to Un-Tell, I am Maggie’s DIY. 40@40 feature’s Maggie’s DIY life experiences and lessons in the last 40 years as she turns 40 years old.

This is one life journey; a roller coaster of highs and lows, ups and downs
