Common Much?

SO, I Googled my name.

First, just my first name; Margaret. Several pages and several millions Margarets popped up in Results, Images, Videos, News, etc. of the different Search Engines.

I tried my maiden name, and my Surname. Same case.

I tried different versions of my name in different combination. Same case.

As it is, I have one of those names that are super common.

Some of those Maggies were Royalty or world icons. Others have been recognized for major achievements in different fields while others are less known.

And there is that movie, Maggie, that I must go watch later.

What does being so ‘common’ mean?

Does it mean that I have no value to add to the world just because there are several millions/ billions of people and things with a similar name? Does it mean that I should not pursue my dreams or pursue happiness?

Absolutely not.

I am Maggie. I am unique.

I may have a million namesakes, but each of us has her/ his/ its purpose and value. I can and will do my best to live my life to the best I can; to add value to self as well to others.

My Advice To You: Don’t Lose Self in the Crowds

There are many people who are like you; probably pursuing what you consider your dreams.

You are unique. rise to your occasion and pursue your purpose. 🙂

Do not be intimidated or scared. If you like it, try/ pursue it. You just might make a different path and more impact.

In a society that compares every failure or success to what has been witnessed before, it is easy for people to feel discouraged and lose self.

Factually, there is nothing new under the sun; says Ecclesiastes. Everything that has happened to you has happened to someone else and will probably happen to another person too. This ought to encourage you; you can overcome much.

Re-invent the wheel or make an own wheel and roll it. Life has some opportunities that only grow once you make the first step. And some ideas become mega with time.

You can make a difference in your world and in your life. One step at a time. I was looking at some of the world icons who made the best of their situations and I realized they were not always great. Some were not born with any indication of greatness by any measure.

Some were born in situations that made even the mere thought of greatness a dream.

They made it and not because they were trying to conquer the whole world.

They were trying to survive; to live one more day; to survive one more moment. Their contributions led to bigger and bigger things.

You, like everyone else, have a right to live to the fullest of your ability; to pursue your purpose and dreams, to celebrate or mourn your life and re-strategize it as you wish.

We are unique: we can rise to any occasions and pursue our purposes. 🙂

I am far from being an icon, but I am working towards being a better version of myself – here is my journey.

Maggie’s DIY (Results, Images, Videos…) 🙂

In 2017, I went out and started my version of Maggie: Maggie’s DIY.

My brand is unique with a tweak since I have seen closely related brands. However, I can still pursue my purpose. 🙂

On this keyword (Maggie’s DIY), my Profiles, Images, and Videos from different Internet-based platforms pop up on the first page (among the first search results) of most browsers: Google, Yahoo, Bing… Works for me. I am glad I made the first step. My future self will thank my current self someday. I am just laying the ground work.

I am working on leaving a blueprint of myself. That I may not just be a statistic but someone who is contributing in multiple fields and bettering the world in the smallest percentage I can. Some of my contributions require(d) videos so I have two YouTube Channels, and working on activating my Vimeo account.

See, my brain’s capacity to conceive ideas, I have realized, is my limit. God has blessed me with absolute health and LIFE; I gotta make it count.
